3 students got selected for the summer Maths camp at Oxford/Leeds university year. In addition, many more qualified for the Kangaroo exam and won Gold/Silver/Bronze certificate in the UK Maths Challenge exam.
Over 100 of our students attained the top Maths set in their respective schools with many winning the Best in school award.Year 2021 in particular has been extremely rewarding with 15 students so far have been invited till date (26/05/21) for the coveted Olympiad seat.

Based on this success and the learning from the and the past few year’s of running our online remote learning courses, we have further improved the course content and are offering a focused course for the Intermediate Maths Challenge preparation during summer holidays Jul-Sep 2021.

Session Schedule and Format :
5 weekly sessions of 90 minutes eachIntermediate (Y9, Y10 & Y11) 
– Batch - 1 : Sun: 10:00 - 11:30 -Starting Sun 24th Oct’21

Session schedule will be fixed and communicated before the course commences
If at all an extra/alternate session has to be scheduled, the parents will be consulted and informed in advance.
Each session will be running for 75-90 minutes on over Cisco webex OR Google hangout (with a 5 minutes break, midway)
All attendees need to login 5 minutes before the time. We will start exactly at the scheduled time.
The first 10 minutes will be dedicated to any Q&A from previous sessions.
A session will roughly involve 10 minutes of theory, and 60 minutes of problem solving.
A 5 minutes break will be given half-way through.There will be a homework of roughly about 30-60 minutes after each session that needs to be submitted on time.
The responsibility of doing the homework on time, updating and uploading the tracker is of each individual attendee.
Every session will be recorded, and the recordings will be available online for any time replay.
A session will ‘not’ be repeated on individual requests.If for some reason, your child misses a session OR wants to renegotiate a difficult topic, the recordings will be available for you to play.

Benefits of the course

The main objective of the course is to expose the entire problem solving tool kit to the children and develop a life long skill. The context in which the problems will be solved is the preparation for Intermediate Maths Challenge exam that is based on the school curriculum for years 9 to 11.

1) The primary focus of this course is to prepare for the Intermediate Maths Challenge exam. Only top 10% of this exam qualify for the next round – Intermediate Kangaroo or Olympiad.

The Olympiad exam, in particular has a very high qualifying cut-off and only 1500 out of over 3 million students (about 500,000 appear for the challenge) in the age group of 13-16 in the UK get an Olympiad medal. This makes it a highly prestigious and coveted achievement. It’s a lifetime achievement that helps all the way up to getting admission in the desired course at top Universities and beyond.

2) Olympiad qualification or not, the course is designed to stretch your abilities beyond the usual. It imparts a systematic approach to viewing the problem from different angles, analyzing its different aspects, applying a disciplined & systematic to finally solve it. The internal satisfaction and the confidence earned by the students at the end of solving these tricky problems is unparalleled.

3) A good amount, of course, is devoted to various tips and tricks required to solve the problems across each of the 15 topics chosen from Y9, 10 & 11 curriculum.
